The place is stunning, however this is about the facility. The rooms were crammed and the toilets quickly became something to avoid. The shower was one big room for the boys, causing long waiting times and subsequently allowing for smell. Furthermore the building was old and entirely made of wood and the beds were uncomfortable. Also terrible connectivity.

Terrible experience. While the surrounding country is quite beautiful, the strict regime of the fjellstue allowed for little chance to explore it. The food was ok, but exhibited little flexibility for those with allergies or other issues. As a visitor, we had to do many of the manual tasks required to run it. It is a very isolated location, and has no cell service, which is worrying in case of an emergency. Furthermore, there are common showers with no barriers between them to allow for privacy while showering.
