Gorgeous hotel! Right in the heart of so much activity. Lots of shopping. Restaurants, you need a reservation ahead of time. The hotel has a fabulous, included breakfast. Wonderful lobby bar. Steps to board the Flam train or the boats to see the fjords. Included parking. Beautiful area to walk around. View from room spectacular! We loved it!

Excellent location, fantastic service staff and the buffet breakfast was very good. Other than this, the value for money was not good given the prices, but it is Norway at peak season so the hotel can’t be blamed. We were here for one night and dined in one of the restaurants around which was decent. Don’t go to the cafe on the hill which is recommenddd by the hotel. The cafes by the pier are much better.

I really loved this hotel. We stayed in the new renovated wing of the hotel. (we almost got put in the old wing by accident and got to see the older room, DEFINITELY stay in the new part if you can)The tv allowed casting and I want the hotel to know THANK YOU and this doesn't go unnoticed.The view of Flam is wonderful, and the breakfast was one of my faves the whole trip.

It's a historical luxery hotel nestled in front of a dramatic imposing mountan next to a charming village with shops, restaurants, a bakery, a brewery and It's own train station. One of our favorite spots so far in Norway. The hotel's dinner buffet was incredible, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you happy. This hotel is as close to perfection as you are going to get.

Absolutely stunning location with breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding the hotel. The hotel itself is obviously a relatively old building and the rooms reflect this but were clean and comfortable. The corridors and decor, on the ground floor where we stayed, were quite dated, dark and maybe a bit gloomy. I did read that there are nicer rooms in a newly renovated section of the hotel, but unfortunately, we were in the older section. Staff were so friendly and accommodating though, and the food was great, with a wide choice.

Fantastic location near the trains, wharf’s and shops.Nice bar to sit in and enjoy the view.Breakfast buffet was good and diverse.We had 2 very different rooms. The bathroom with a claw footed bath & shower overhead was a mess. Water drenched the floor no matter what we tried.

Dont stay in historic rooms ! Select any other rooms. The historic rooms are overrated and lack basic amenities in the guise of history. Not comfortable. I am assuming that the other rooms are better although they market the historic rooms. Other than that, a very good hotel and very conveniently located. The parking lot is a bit of walk from the reception, So make sure you drop off your bags closer to reception.

Absolutely worst customer service ever. We were unable to get to the hotel because of the harsh weather conditions the storm even got a name ‘Hans’. The roads were closed and we were on motorcycles so no way we could get to the hotel. We called to if we could have a refund or change it to another date. However we received zero think along. A refund was not possible because ‘the rain ain’t so bad’, well for us and for motorcycles it definitely was. That’s why there was a nation alert not to use the roads except in need. And that is with car… but the lady didn’t seem to care at all. She just said ‘yeah but then we need to refund everyone unable to get here’. And to change the date was also not possible because they were fully booked.Zero think along from the hotel, and absolutely horrible customer service.

There aren't many places to stay in Flam so there's a good chance you may stay here if you're not on a cruise ship. The accommodations were fine and it was probably the best breakfast spread we had all trip. I would not recommend their dinner buffet which was quite overpriced so check the hours of the few other options in town in advance.

I booked this hotel through the Norway in a nutshell program. Its location can not be better. The staff was extremely friendly. I was given one of the lovely rooms facing the fjord with a balcony made of glass windows and ceilings. Needless to say, everything was fantastic.
