AVIS Leiebil - Vigra

As car rentals go, and as services (don't) work in Norway, having read the reviews, we expected much worse. At the end it worked out reasonably.We even had planned to return the car one day earlier than our stay, considering their very limited opening hours, since they could be very slow/give us problems to return the car, and end up delaying our scheduled departure. But what is told nowhere is that YOU RETURN THE CAR KEYS TO A 24/7 KEYDROP BOX. So we ended up extending the rental 24hrs, which was not a problem to arrange.Employee who assisted us, Anella, was very efficient & reliable, and the paper map she handed us turned out to be a life saver, since the car HAD NO GPS (another surprise!), and even one of us having contracted cell phone roaming service in Norway, the car end of connecting cable was USB-B (which no one of us had, and last time I tried to buy in the USA was almost impossible to find in stores), so even using cell phone GPS was limited and just for a long as that phone had its own battery or we inconveniently stopped to recharge. One day we simply gave up and used the paper map (life saver) and road signs, which worked out alright, since our destinations were also major.Last but not least, car rented was WAY TOO SMALL for 5 average adults (ranging 150-180lbs) as advertised.
