Ok, so you always wanted to live like a squirrel? Then this is definitely the place for you. 'Kongle' is Norwegian for pine cone, and this particular one is suspended in between the trees near Fløien. Getting into the 'Kongle' is not as easy as you may think, be very careful when climbing up the ladder and opening the hatch. I do not recommend staying here if you easily get seasick, as it seems like even blinking your eyes makes the cabin rock back and forth. Furthermore if you have issues with your physique, this may unfortunately not be accessible for you, as you need to climb the ladder and simultaneously unlock and open a quite heavy hatch. There are safety concerns when staying here with children, I would not recommend this for children under 8 years. The ladder is steep and wobbly, and if you fall down from the hatch..well..then the ER is next.Absolute maximum number of persons at the same time here is two grown ups and and one child.You'll have no privacy as the hordes of tourist naturally gravitate towards this cabin. There's always someone looking up towards your window.For some reason there is no blinds in the window, that would definitely improve the experience. The view is limited, but if you walk a mere 40 metres, you'll get quite a spectacular view of Bergen. You'll have access to public restrooms only (no shower).
