Midtnes Hotel

Lovely old hotel with no nonsense rooms with a beautiful view (rooms are in the adjacent 70ties concrete appartement building). Walking distance from the restaurants and ferry stop. The staff is extremely friendly and the breakfast is very good.

Very nice place, central location in Balestrand. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent service. Parking in the back of hotel. Highly recommended!

Stayed in June 2022. This was a nononsense Hotel. The rooms are not in the pretty building that you see in the photos but in an Annexe which is very plain and practical, the room we had was spacious, with a balcony with a view across the fiord and to the pretty town church below. The receptionist was not friendly or warm but he did what was required and was kind to give us a coffee on the deck in the morning as we were up early and breakfast was not yet served. Breakfast at 6.30 am, we were there on a weekday enabled us to catch the 8am ferry from Dragsvik. There is complimentary tea and coffee available at the reception but it runs out fast and is not replinished often. Olden has plenty of restaurants so getting dinner was not a problem. Breakfast was wonderful. Hot and cold items, the smoked salmon we had here was the best fromour 12 day trip.

Very nice place to stay for a couple of nights. The host is particularly kind and helpful. Breakfast is perfect and the room is quiet and peaceful, like the rest of the village.

Unfortunately we were not able to stay at this hotel, due to the ferry breaking down late in the evening, but the staff member i spoke to was very helpful and accomodating. If the hotel itself, is anything like the outstanding customer service i received, then you won't be disappointed!

This hotel may only have 2 Stars according to whatever. And the room did not come with a TV. But it was clean, the landlord was friendly and helpful. And the view from the window in the lounge was fantastic. 3 Restaurants are within easy walking distance. We greatly enjoyed our 2 nights in this hotel. Highly recommended. Free parking..

A nice, clean, well run family hotel. Nothing fancy, but more than comfortable enough for a regular traveler.St. Olaf's Church right next door is a nice bonus.

I had a very pleasant 1-night stay here. The decor is a bit dated, but everything is super clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Balestrand is adorable and it's easy to access fantastic hiking trails from the hotel.
