Wow.. Nydelig mat, ubeskrivelig opplevelse... Grupper har mulighet til å få eget rom (må bestilles) eller du kan spise i restauranten nede. Åpent til både lunch og middag..

Pleasantly surprised. Good food. Nicely decorated. Friendly and polite staff. It has all the ingredients for success, but needs soul: place is missing a personality. I got the sense that this is a restaurant with a mindset that we know best rather than going out of their way to accommodate the customers wishes. Recommend that you try. A solid dining experience, but Cin Cin remains number one in Stavanger for me.

When we visited, we decided to make it easy and just go for the sharing menu. Soon we got some bread with some butter, and we got a charcuterie platter including Idsøe's award winning coppa, parma ham, beer sausage, cheese, crackers and other condiments. I love a charcuterie platter and I could have this with every meal! Once we were done with the starter, we got the main served on a new platter. This time the platter contained meat of the day (entrecôte from local Jæren), a good size bone with bone marrow, and some broccolini, onions and mushroom from local producer ToppSopp. On the side we got some delicious fries – and a small pot with béarnaise sauce! Life is good when you also get told that you can get a refill of the fries and sauce when you run empty! The meat was cooked to perfection and had a lovely taste – but it was not the most tender meat I have had. But there are different kinds of meat on the menu (in different price categories) ranging from local entrecôte to wagyu from Japan. In the end I got the dessert – the “isbombe” (I guess also known as Omelette norvégienne). A shortcake topped with an ice cream and covered with an Italian style meringue. Thanks for the lovely dinner, Idsøe Grill & Berkel. I look forward to coming back and next time we will be sure to bring some friends so that we can try more of the items that are on the menu – and some of the wines that are on the wine menu!

Extraordinarily ordinary! Working with food myself and knowing what quality of the food that stem from the delicatessen of Idsøe maby the bar was set too high. The service started of nice, but quickly went down hill when we got seated and got a new server. Our tall female server could have done little more to make us feel like a bother. She generalized the food and menu until asked about specifics and her body language shouted dismay. We got our food, but that's about it. I ordered the classic meatloaf which was served on extremely oily bread. The meatloaf resembled the typical store bought kind, unseasoned, pasty and without texture. My wife had the liver paste and bread, which was tasty but hardly enough to dwell the hunger of a kitten. The seating is extremely crowded and the family besides us had no chance fitting in a baby chair when they asked for it. I'm sad to say that this seem to be an establishment for people who want to be distinguished and fancy by association. The review is based of the lunch menu (5-6 items on the menu...) hopefully the dinner menu proves me wrong.
