Nes Gard

Charming B&B type hotel with a great restaurant, and a unique farm style dining room. Staff and owners are extremely friendly and eager to help and provide excellent service. Dinner was phenomenal very fairly priced and the chef was able to accommodate our dietary restrictions.

Nes Gard is a gorgeous traditional farm house which has been converted into a lodge. We had an excellent stay and I'd highly recommend to others who are travelling anywhere near the area.Perched on the edge of the fjord, the views are absolutely stunning and worth the visit alone. The 3 course meal in the dining room cooked by their chefs was delicious. The owner has also built a cool little wine bar with cellar under one of the farm houses for guests to have a drink after dinner. Our only regret was not trying the waterside sauna they have.They have plenty of parking including EV charging available.We will be sure to return, hopefully soon!

Fantastisk sted med utrolig hyggelig, serviceinnstilt og fleksibel betjening. God mat (som vi fikk servert etter middagstid når hele følget var på plass) og nydelig frokost i særegne lokaler. Jordbærsyltetøyet var et høydepunkt. Anbefales varmt!

Really amazing from beginning to end. Location, staff, room, the sauna, all wonderful. What surprised us the most was the food - after many other experiences paying out the nose for mediocre food, all I can say is GET THE DINNER HERE! We almost didn't since we were doubting how good a fixed menu hotel dinner would be, but we ended up eating in the hotel each night of our stay and those were by far the best meals we had in Norway. Even way better than meals we had in top-rated restaurants in cities

Et fantastisk sted og fint utgangspunkt for randonee turer. Gammel gård som er pusset opp og som gir stedet sjel. Lett og ledig stemning fra de som driver stedet. Plass til 40 personer og lett å møte andre som liker å stå på ski. God mat. Guider leies gjennom de som driver garden. Guiden vår, Jacob, gjorde jobben sin godt og flink skikjører og anbefales.Hadde fått seks stjerner hvis mulig.

Nes Gard was totally amazing! The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and were very friendly and happy to have a conversation with us! The view of the fjord was so calming and the waterfall was absolutely gorgeous! We used the sauna and sat on the fjord deck one afternoon and my husband kayaked on a different day! The meals were well planned and prepared and delicious as well! We loved the wildflower bouquets-such a personal touch!!Thanks Nes Gard!!

This is an overpriced hotel near a busy road. The superior" room that we booked was bland

Five star experience! My wife and I stayed at Nes Gard a weekend early August for a friend's 50th celebration. Every aspect of this stay was great. This is a super place to stay if you're passing through or want a base camp" when hiking in the local mountains.The room was nice and clean
