Ein Denkmal zu Ehren von Admiral Thore Horve.Das Denkmal steht direkt am Hafen auf einer Erhöhung mit schönem Ausblick.Leider stehen ständig Kreuzfahrtschiffe direkt davor und verhindern den Hafenblick.

Ubicada en el barrio antiguo sobre un alto desde el que se tiene una bonita vista del puerto y la ciudad cuando no hay cruceros atracados. Flanqueado por dos caños, parece otear el horizonte con sus prismáticos en la mano.

You can stop by the statue of Thore Hovre after you walk through old Stavanger. Thore Hovre was a leading person in the Norwegian Navy during World War 2 and also as a commander of the navy after world war 2. He also worked for the rights for the Norwegian veterans (veterans of the navy and merchant navy). The statue seems to show him on duty with a pair of binoculars looks out over the harbor of Stavanger.
